Workshop guides new students on research skills

4 May 2018

On May 3, 2018, the Confucius Institute at UQ arranged and facilitated the ‘Workshop for publishing your research in top journals' for university research students studying in Brisbane.

Successfully run over a number of years, the workshop again drew a large number of International China Scholarship Council (and other) students from Brisbane-based universities who were keen to learn the fundamentals of research activity in Australia.

The workshop welcomed a number of highly experienced speakers from UQ including Professor Mingxing Zhang, Professor Zhiguo Yuan, Professor Ling Li, Professor Jin Zou, and Ms Fei Yu to offer guidance and advice in their respective fields.

This workshop importantly provided students with a platform to raise questions surrounding their research to be undertaken in Queensland, as well as guidance on rules, regulations and expectations set in implementing and publishing research results.

This event was made possible through the contributions of all guest speakers, as well as support from the Confucius Institute at UQ, the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, and CSC and other student associations.
