Try your hand at Taichi at UQ starting Sep. 7!
Combining the physical and mental well-being of its practitioners, Taichi has become one of the most well-known and symbolic representations of the Chinese culture. With Chinese wording reflecting the highest/ultimate level, Taichi is reputed for its calm and relaxing movements.
Significant benefits to health can be achieved through simplistic Taichi movements. Using techniques dating back to the dynasty eras, Taichi ultimately benefits the nervous, cardiovascular and respiratory system, as well as the bones and muscles.
To give our UQ students the opportunity to emerse themselves in the Chinese culture and acquaint themselves with this very popular activity, we will be hosting ongoing taster sessions starting in September 2017.
