The Semester 1 Chinese culture course offered by the Confucius Institute at The University of Queensland (UQ CI) concluded on April 5 with an interactive session on Marriage and dating patterns in China.
Attended by UQ Students, staff and community members over the 4 weeks, each session focused on a different aspect of either Chinese culture or society. This non-credit bearing course focused on helping participants develop a base understanding of aspects of Chinese culture/society, as well as inviting opportunities for discussion and questions.
The sessions were delivered by Dr. Haiyan Liang, a guest lecturer of UQ CI and a member of UQ’s School of Languages. UQ CI plans to deliver similar courses in the future and expand the topics offered. For more information on upcoming UQ CI events, see Events Page.
